How we use your details
When you sign the Join the Moovement pledge or subscribe to our newsletter, you’re sharing some personal details with us. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you sign the pledge, we ask for your first name, last name, email address, country, town or city, and postal code. You can also choose to add an optional pledge message, and you can decide whether your first name and message are displayed publicly on the map or whether your pin appears anonymously.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we use the same details.
How we use it
Your first name, country, and town are used to display your pin on the public pledge map, but only in the way you have chosen. If you have opted to remain anonymous, your pin shows location only, with no identifying details.
Your postal code is not displayed publicly. We use it to place your pin in the right area of the map, to identify where interest in the film is concentrated. This helps us have meaningful conversations with cinemas and community screening organisers about where to bring the film. Precise location data is only ever seen internally by the Laverock Productions team and is not shared with third parties.
Your email address is used to send you the newsletter if you’ve opted in. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Your email address is used to send you the newsletter if you’ve opted in. We use Mailjet to send our newsletters and manage our subscriber list, so your email address is stored on their servers as well as ours. Mailjet is a European-based provider, ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and handles data in line with their own privacy policy. We do not use your email for any other purpose, and we do not share it with anyone else.
If you’ve chosen to add a pledge message and opted to display it, your message appears on the map attached to your pin. If you prefer, you can keep your message private or display it with an anonymous pin.
Who we are
Laverock Productions Ltd is the data controller for the information you share with us. We are registered in Scotland (company number SC787339). If you have any questions about how we use your details, please email info@laverockproductions.com
Who can access your details
Only the team at Laverock Productions have access to the information you share. We do not share your personal details with any third party.
How long we keep it
We retain your details for as long as the A Dairy Story distribution campaign is active. We will review our retention policy periodically and delete data that is no longer needed.
