We have set a date for the general release of A Dairy Story in UK cinemas. From 4 August 2026 the film will be available to book, and we are now accepting bookings for screenings across the country.
We are distributing the film ourselves, so that we can work directly with the independent cinemas and community venues who want to bring it to their audiences, and also so that we can involve our community and other cow-with-calf dairy farmers in the screenings.
There’s a new page on this website for cinema programmers with everything they need to bring A Dairy Story to their screen. If you programme for a venue, or you know someone who does, you will find it all on our For Cinemas page.
We are especially glad to be working with the wider cow-with-calf dairy community. Where we can, and where other farmers want to be involved, we will invite other cow-with-calf dairy farmers to these screenings, so that audiences hear not just from David but from the growing number of farmers around the country who are choosing to keep calves with their mothers. The film is one farm’s story, but the movement is much bigger than one farm, and these screenings are an opportunity to show that.
If there is a cinema near you that you would love to see the film in, the most useful thing you can do is ask them to book it. A handful of local people asking for the same film tells a programmer there is an audience waiting, and it carries far more weight coming from you than from us. There is a suggested message you can send on our For Cinemas page.
