The Oxford Cultural Collective, which uses food, drink and hospitality as catalysts for positive social change, has become an official partner for A Dairy Story, lending its support as the film enters a new phase of its distribution campaign.
As Official Partner, it will share news of the documentary across its networks, drawing on an extensive and multi-disciplinary community of food enthusiasts, educators and industry figures to help the film reach new audiences across the UK and beyond.
Founded and chaired by Donald Sloan, the Oxford Cultural Collective works to unlock the regenerative potential of food and drink for the benefit of communities, places and the natural environment. Through public lectures, panel discussions and hosted dinners, alongside research and educational programmes, the organisation encourages creative thinking that brings positive social, cultural and environmental change.
Donald Sloan, Chair of the Oxford Cultural Collective, said:
“A Dairy Story does more than showcase Rainton Farm’s truly pioneering achievements. It is helping to build an international movement for progressive change in farming practice, in the face of considerable resistance.
“For those committed to ethical transformation of the food system, A Dairy Story will serve as a powerful source of inspiration. It is a real privilege for the Oxford Cultural Collective to be able to offer our support, to ensure the film reaches the widest possible audience.”
Producer Lorna Young said:
“Don was quick to see what we were trying to do with this film, and quicker still to offer to help. The Oxford Cultural Collective brings together people who care about food and where it comes from, and that’s an important audience for a film like ours because the impact of farming methods reaches well beyond the farm gate. We are delighted to have the OCC’s support, and the reach of their network, as we take the documentary to audiences this summer and autumn.”
The partnership comes as A Dairy Story prepares for its UK theatrical run.
