A Dairy Story begins the next phase of its UK theatrical release this week, with screenings on the same night at opposite ends of the country: Number 30 in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, and Maona Cinema in Oswestry, Shropshire, where the film will be followed by a Q&A with cow-with-calf farmer Casha Bowles-Jones of The Little Dairy at Babbinswood Organic Farm.
Following the film’s opening run of Green Screen events with Picturehouse Cinemas, fourteen screenings are now booked at ten independent cinemas from Aberdeenshire to Cornwall, with further dates being added. The newest confirmed venue is Alnwick Playhouse in Northumberland, which screens the film three times on 7 and 8 October, including a Q&A with farmer David Finlay. Q&As also accompany screenings at ActOne Cinema in London on 23 September and the Alhambra in Keswick on 27 September.
The full list of screenings and booking links is available on the Screenings page.
A Dairy Story is available to screen exclusively in UK cinemas during September and October, distributed directly by the film’s own team, which means enquiries come straight to the people who made it. Farmer Q&As can be added where schedules permit, and where they do, the farm featured in the film welcomes opportunities to host cheese tastings and sales alongside screenings to add to the audience experience. Cinemas interested in programming the film are warmly encouraged to get in touch via the For Cinemas page or info@adairystory.com.
