A Dairy Story has completed its run of Green Screen events at Picturehouse cinemas, closing on Sunday evening at the Duke of York’s in Brighton, the oldest cinema in continuous use in Britain.
The run opened in Norwich with a special screening hosted by Global CEO of Compassion in World Farming, Philip Lymbery. The run then took the film to audiences in Edinburgh, Exeter, Bath, Henley-on-Thames and Brighton, with each screening followed by a Q&A featuring David Finlay, the farmer at the heart of the film, alongside representatives from the film’s partner organisations, including Compassion in World Farming, who joined every screening, and Oxford Cultural Collective, who chaired the final two events. The Q&As were lively and wide-ranging, with many continuing into the café-bar areas of the venues.
The film now continues its journey through independent cinemas across the UK, with screenings booked from Aberdeenshire to Cornwall and more being added regularly.
